Outside is a great place for puppies to be! As you can see, they do enjoy their time outside and have lots of interesting things to do, and most of them involve getting very dirty! Oh well, they are getting exposed to lots of natural things and like babies, it is not healthy to be too clean when you are young!

Part of the normal yard work around here involves filling in holes, and I asked Dave to fill in the one in the puppy pen. "No, the puppies have too much fun in it!" And he is right. Four pups can fit in it at once! Now I'm kind of glad we don't have puppies that are light in color or they would always look dirty! And occasionally one pup gets stuck among the others, legs waving in the air. Good thing young pups are flexible!
